Should we be umimpressed with XB1's 1 million sales, or super amazed with PS4 sales?

It's more along the lines of how the supply is allocated; Sony allocated a certain number to NA launch and they have allocated a certain number to launches elsewhere. Where did anyone claim that Sony sold all their stock in the NA launch? Very simple really. I doubt anyone on this forum has the exact information of when production started on each system, the amount produced, and how much they each had for launch. The fact is they both sold around a million units at the initial launch; other than nitpicking the little things, one million units for one company is not greater than one million units for another company.

Xbox sold well over what most on this site hoped for; the only reason to downplay this is based on one's agenda and bias.

Not downplaying their oppening... just the argument is that If Sony decided to release on all 30+ regions they said they will (sum of Nov 15 and 29) they would have sold just 1M (which is assuming that they send all their inventory that were ready for Nov 15 to NA), when in fact as you said they already had stock separeted to EU+others... So if they released "WW" on Nov 15 they would have sold 1.5~2M no doubt... We are seeing downplay from both sides.
