Right now Vita is $169 at Best Buy: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/22/black-friday-deals-for-ps3-ps-vita-and-ps-plus/ That'd probably be a better deal than any PS4 bundle in the foreseeable future.
It's a great system and remote play on its own is almost worth $169. That's good because apart from small and indie titles, you'll be looking at very little support for the rest of its life.
I'd personally recommend holding off a buy, since you probably have other toys to hold you off for the holiday and year to come(SM3DW!!!)
