I think it is mainly the novelty of using voice controls. Sure it has a view extras like the fantasy sports (Which I believe it only for ESPN fantasy football) but for the most part is voice controls.
I also find it very odd that you can pause, rewind and/or fastforward live TV but can't record like a DVR. That should definitely be a feature.
I don't own a DVR box, so I think it would be cool.

DVR? Not that I am aware of. It was only said to have game DVR. For TV you will need to use an additional DVR device.
