Writting-off entirely will cause a lot of damage for the succesor. Just like the last 2 years of Wii hurts still in the Wii U. Also, some projects are enough far to be released in this console, like Zelda U, X, bayonetta 2, MK8, SSB4.

I'll agree if they'd choose to put some development teams already working in the succesor, like the Kouzimi team which already finished 3D World. A new 3D Mario for launch in Christmas 2016 will be the better.
