Why are there no FPS's on the 3DS?

how do you think people played doom on the Snes? surely they just all sat around waiting for the dream cast to launch before releasing the first console FPS ever?

A lot has changed since then though. We have evolved considerably (tastes, games, tech, etc). Though I do agree. I still have a lot of fun with Goldeneye on N64 and it's great with a single stick, but generally most gamers are not like that.
