Some will, some wont. My Friends girlfriend honest to got thinks carnival games is the best thing on the Wii, and wondered why her boyfriend was playing Mario Galaxy :/ She said she had 0 interest in ever playing it and that she didn't get the point. Some casual gamers will just keep buying casual games on the rare occasions that they do :/
My other friend got his Wii at launch and bought Zelda Twilight princes shortly after, he finished that once, and has only played Wii sports since with no intention of buying another game. There are also hardcore gamers that end up having less time for games and they eventually start picking up casual titles also.
So I'd say the statement is actually rather wrong :x
