Is Super Mario 3D World a system seller?

I love how people arbitrarily decide that games like Wonderful 101 and Sonic were supposed to move systems, and then conclude when they don't that no game will ever help the Wii U. Sonic hasn't been a system seller for years, tending to sell 1-2 million, with generally slow openings and long legs, generally as budget titles. Platinum's games have generally always sold mediocre at best. So, comparing those games to Mario 3D World is pretty silly.
