I called it that the gameplay was going to get old and repetitive since it incorrectly rips two superior games in combat with more years of practice in the genre. You dont need to play it, but rather pay attention to a combo string and it will tell you the story. Crytek always makes the prettiest game. At best what they did for Microsoft was show how pretty of a game the system could run.


But when a 3rd party makes a PS exclusive, its a smart business move and great for gamers.......sigh

Oversimplification? I just gave you a perfect example of what happened last gen with Silicon Knights and it mirrors Ryse. Microsoft had a three game contract with them to make games for them and they cut it short after the first game bombed. I really hope Microsoft buys Remedy, because they are looking like they are going to be the knight in shining armor alongside Turn10 and 343 when its all said and done. Hopefully Black Tusk impresses as well.

What PS exclusive are you speaking of by the way? Most are timed exclusives (outside of Killzone and Knack) and will be coming to the Xbox really soon if they are under timed exclusivity at all and those are majorly indies. Resogun is the only third party indie title of note that was hailed during the launches. On the other hand with Microsoft they are buying up third party real estate. Everyone under the sun is going to be having third party indie titles. Even the free to play titles like Warframe will eventually find themselves over to Microsoft.

Did the PS3 not start off slow? Yes. Guess what though? They started off slow with their own games and a promise of great titles to come. With Microsoft they can buy up all the third party real estate they want but eventually when those games go either multiplat or the company wants to work on a new venture, Microsofts exclusives dry up.
