TheRealMafoo said: What I meant by the “I will use my Wii for what it's great for, and play the PS3 for everything else” comment is if you are playing a game where submissiveness is the point (Uncharted, Gears, CoD4) for me the graphics are very important. In everyone of those games, there was a point where I forgot I was playing a game, and felt like I was involved in the action. Games like SMG, any fighting game like Brawl, Monkey Ball, Wii Sports, any puzzle game, and the like do not require this kind of emersion to be fun, so playing them on a system that struggles to produce that (imo) is no loss at all. This is where the Wii shines with its control system. |
Yeah, I guess people are different when it comes to this too. I know a lot of people feel graphics are a big factor in feeling immersed. But personally I feel just as immersed in RE4 as I feel in Metroid Prime 3, Bioshock, or Mass Effect. The graphics don't affect that for me. But I also feel immersed in a good book or even one of those old text based games that have no graphics at all (that I still play from time to time).
