Is this about third party publishers not supporting the Wii U? Cause that is Nintendo fans' fault not anyone elses.

There is a lot of blame to go around for this. Many Third Parties dumped Nintendo back in the N64 days and has not looked back. Many third parties put games on a Nintendo system that is sub par compared to other consoles, Not because of how the system was built, but because they just figured it most likely won't sell anyway so why give Nintendo fans as good of a version of the game we are making, in addition to all that (Which both arguments I just made are two way streets and I understand that) You have "Hard Core" Gamers that say graphics and hardware power does not matter, but buys other systems for third party games. Their only reason. Graphics and Power.  They only buy Nintendo for the first party games. So yeah like I said. Lot's of blame to go around on that one.

I marked what's imortant: people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games and a few mostly kidfriendly 3rd party titles. It has nothing to do with the games being bad ports or something, the Wii U demographic simply doesn't care for most types of third party games, period.

So if 3rd party publishers wanted to have their games sell on a Nintendo platform they would need to make Nintendostyle games and why the hell would the do that? They would just sacrifice sales on the other platforms and on the Wii U they would have to be compared to the real deal, which would probably still result in mostly lackluster sales on the Platform.

The thing is, software wise Nintendo fans are extremely unflexible and stubborn. Almost anything that isn't produced by Nintendo themselves, is destined to fail on a Nintendo home console nowadays, even games that are published by Nintendo like for example W101 (and I'm willing to guarantee Bayonetty 2 as well) fail miserably. So Nintendo fans only want their 3D Marios, Smash Bros, Mario Karts, Zeldas etc. and that's ok, they'll get them and they'll be great games and Nintendo will also surely make money with the Wii U, but there aren't a 100 million people out there desperately needing to buy a console for Nintendo games, so Nintendo fans just need to start to come to terms with the fact that the Wii U will sell significantly less than the Wii and that that is fine.
