Not really, I was thinking more like the MMO only has the regions the mobile has done already, everytime there's a new region you have to buy the mobile game to explore it, and then when the next mobile game is released an expansion pack for the last region in the mobile game is released for the MMO. Or hell, keep it two regions behind. 

I could get behind this if Game Freak can make it happen without sacrificing its work on the handheld entries. It might require teaming up with a developer that has more experience with MMOs, like Square-Enix, though.

I'd be extremely impressed if Nintendo could pull it off without damaging Pokemon's effect on the handheld market.
