Nope you're right. But they don't have to cause these games aren't gonna dissapear or decrease in quality all of a sudden. + GTA4 exclusive content, + Alan Wake, + Tales of Vesperia, + $100,- price difference, + Gears 2, + incredibly strong existing catalog I think 360 can be competitive at least. I agree that PS3 will have a good year though. |

What I meant with "Halo, Bioshock, Gears still count" is that this April A LOT of people will want to play GTA4 that haven't upgraded to this gen yet. They have to decide which console to buy. The thing is that at the moment of GTA4 release the 360 has way better games available. Halo, Bioshock, Gears (and to a lesser extent Lost Odyssee and Mass Effect) are all 360 exclusives that are available. Sony is saying for over a year now that the great games are coming, but only Uncharted can compete with these 360 exclusives. The question is what will be the decision: Games you can play NOW or games you can play later (and to be honest, besides MGS4 there's still no word on releasedates of the REAL big games GT and FF). I think a lot of these GTA4-upgraders will choose 360 because of this and the exclusive content. I really think this PR guy should shut his big mouth, and focusses on getting the games out. PS3 needs FF13 and GT5 NOW, not somewhere without a solid release date. |
If by needing ff13 and GT5 now u mean actually selling more units then 360 and almost a 100% leap in sells then last year then you are right. dont no why people hate on ps3 so much its not going anywere and it will sell more then the 360 this year thats seems like a pretty good fact. |
Where did I show hate on PS3, I never do that. I try to be like Fox News, Fair and Balanced (with preferences of course). I said several times that the PS3 is doing very well, but let's be honest, that's compared to last year.
What I meant by: "they need FF and GT now" is that GTA4 will be an enormously important game in the battle between 360 and PS3 and Sony would have made their lives a lot easier if the big games were there. GTA4 will be the first really big game for PS3 and that's multiplatform.
Again, I have no doubt that PS3 will outperform 360 in yearly sales, but there is a 7 million gap to close, and GTA4 looks to become a very big success for Microsoft.
