Playing through RE4 on Wii at the moment - and I literally can't put it down. Finished the GC version of course, but the game is just so damned good...
I agree that the gfx are definitely "dated" - primarily the textures. If Capcom has better "source" textures, I wonder how hard it would have been just to upgrade some of them for the Wii version (heaps more RAM, etc..).
If anything, its now almost my favourite Wii title. Better than Zelda, better than Galaxy (almost). You just can't beat atmosphere and an awesome gameplay experience :)
PS - the controls IMO are "perfect". I have now mastered them completely, the game (on normal) is way too easy. If I was doing a similar title - I would completely rip them off!
