That's literally pretty much all marketing is, lol. It's not 1996 anymore, "game trailer" TV spots don't do anything. 

Even with the Wii U spots, Nintendo is fairly obviously targeting a certain image -- Wii U is the kids-choice console, who's job it is to convince their parents to buy them one.
