The numbers are good, but we should probably wait until early next year to make sure this isn't some kind of "fanboy effect" ala Call of Duty or GTA, where a staggering, huge launch is followed by an incredibly fast slow down in a matter of weeks. If there is any kind of staying power though, you'd expect PS4 to get to around 100m globally. I think it's probably fair to say that there were 9-10 million super dedicated PS3 buyers - those who bought the system at $500 or $600 in 2006 to Fall 2007, when the system was expensive with far fewer games and features than it has now - so you have to figure with the price much lower at launch those are largely the people behind the great PS4 launch day figures. PS3 is still only around 25m in the US, so it's probably not going to be difficult for PS4 to surprass those numbers if the launch momentum continues for a while. The pricing certainly is favorable this time.

I disagree in the part about Sony fans... I guess half of the sales come form non-Sony fans... this consoles will be HUGE.

Why do you care about what kind of people are buying it lol? As long as people buy it is all that matters!
