Exactly. I worked Wii Launch and remember the craze vividly. People...who knew absolutely nothing about video games/consoles saw that EVERYONE ELSE wanted one so they wanted one. It also helped that normal news stations televised the Wii as this revolution of gaming that would have your kids exercising, having fun,and bring the family together for it. Soccer Moms came in droves for the thing. The thing was always out of stock, and the difficulty of getting your hands on one made many want it even more.
We are really hoping Sony (and soon MS) come through on their ability to keep stores stocked for the Holiday. Sony has already said they got 1M sold on day one. From my experience on launch and the last few days....if they sent us the exact same amount of stock as what we had for reserves we could sell through that too(I imagine the same everywhere) meaning 2-3million in one week WW. Mind you this is also only US sales, once the system is released in EU it has the potential for a lot more.
