Thing is via mobile there are too much variables which will greatly influence your experience while on the go.

True, but I've seen videos demonstrating great ping on average connections. Maybe some people have bad variables, but the service definitely works in many places, maybe more big cities than rural. Who knows. I guess the experience will be different for everybody, but Sony can't really help that. I like the option though.

I made a post on GAF on what influences your experience based on how you want to use remote play:
Experience on the different possibilities (from best to worst):
1. Wifi direct
Experience will only depend on connection quality/distance between PS4 and Vita.
2. Local Network
Experience will greatly depend on connection quality between PS4 <-> router (perhaps even repeaters making it worse) <-> Vita and your home networking hardware
3. Remote wifi
Experience will depend on your home networking hardware, *your* internet access (bandwidth, latency), remote internet access (bandwidth, latency), your connection/quality to the remote wifi and the routing between local site and remote site.
4. Remote 3g
Same as 3, but even worse bandwidth/latency on remote site.

Though, something interesting is that assasins creed 4 remote play drops resolution instead of framerate. Personnally, resogun had a slight lag like this video even when direct wifi. But assassins creed is perfect either with wi-fi direct or at job where we have like 30 device on the router, where its difficult to even buff a youtube video on one of our smart tvs. It seems to me that that the result will vary per game depending on the developer. Something sure is that it works way better then I thought it would.
