Okay guys, this post contains full spoilers for the last FOUR episodes, so don't read until you've finished the series. For those who don't know, 11 and 12 aired last night, and nick posted the finale (13/14) online at midnight.

I prefer Korra with her hair down. Please make this a thing. Also, Mako/Korra is done forever! YES! For a moment, I was concerned that the love triangle was going to return in full force. That pissed me off, because when next to everything else, it completely paled in comparsion. That conflict is so pathetic and insignificant... Blah. Just don't do it again, please.

Tenzin had a great moment here. Realizing that he is not, and cannot be his father. That's what he needed. The only problem now is... what will he do in the next two seasons? Hopefully family/Lin stuff. He needs to get along better with his siblings, and recognize Bumi's genius (that scene where he saves the day... I wanted to hate it, but it was too fantastic).

Desna/Eska; well, they finally turned on their father. I guess they were useful, but I still really don't care for either of them. Kinda hope we don't see them again.

Varrick; He's coming back again. There's no way we won't see more of him. This pleases me.

Now, onto the good/bad. I'll do bad first.

Unalaq. He was a bad guy from the start. He sort of had this idea that things would be great; you know, spirits and humans living together... but then he was just a complete asshole anyway and really didn't seem to care about that. Or his kids. Or literally anything, except becoming Jafarvatar. So... yeah, I'd like a better villain in the next season, please.

Deus ex Jinora. Can someone explain this to me? I get that she "found the light in the dark" ... kinda. But how? What the hell did I see there? I'd like some sort of explanation. I dunno, maybe that's all there is to it. Still, since TLA's deus ex machina was sort of fixed in LoK, I hope it will be resolved in the next series (hah... if we get one).

Now for the good.

The destruction of Korra's connection to past Avatars. This one hurts, but I hope it stays. That's a huge sacrifice for saving the world, but it really gives me hope for the coming seasons. Korra has come a long way, but now she has to come to terms with being the last Avatar of the old cycle, and the first of a new one. I'd guess there are still ways to connect to the past Avatars, but it won't be the same as before.(Also, it's sort of like the show cutting ties with TLA... in a good way.) She also has to deal with her decision to leave the portals open. It could be a good move, but there will be some negative consequences.

The scene where Korra is energybending or whatever that was very reminiscent of the scene with Aang from TLA. Some people seem upset because they thought it was all about the Avatar State. But I always thought it was about Aang connecting with himself spiritually on a higher level, which would then allow him full control over the Avatar State. Anyone could do it (like Guru Pathik), just sans Avatar State. So seeing Korra do it was pretty cool. I didn't even mind the Korra projection thing, 'cause, you know, harmonic convergence.

The return of Zhao. I really liked this. It was a callback to TLA, but in a really good way. They have done really well with TLA references in LoK in the last few episodes.

Overall, I liked these episodes a lot. They aren't flawless, but there is a lot to like. The worst part about them? This marks day one of the wait for Season 3....
