On topic: Releasing everything at once would obviously increase the situation in the short term, but in turn lead to mid and long term damage, because going for many months without new games is poison for the momentum. I'd say the damage is far greater than the initial benefit, because every big new release increases interest in the hardware and the overall software library. Spacing this effect out makes it occur more often which is also better for the overall perception of the system. If it's regularly talked about in a positive way (due to new games people are playing), then additional sales are generated eventually.

I can see what you were going for, you just screwed up the semantics a bit (plus it's highly unlike that Smash Bros For will be out by April. Late 2014 still has a lot of juice in reserve, even unto 2015). You also can't really count Wind Waker HD as the Zelda game, since remakes are not going to sell consoles, naturally.

Nintendo could do a tremendous job pacing all the games out next year, as far as the rumors and facts go (DK in February, Mario Kart in April, Smash in May or June, maybe Bayonetta in the summer? Then perhaps X (which is NOT a third party game, btw) and Zelda in fall). There's a lot still to come.
