and the xbox one versions get day one patches to increase lighting and stuff like that because...?
you even answered your own question with battlefield. if this "rule" would be reality it would also count for battlefield.
they are happy that they could even finish the games on next gen in-time (well, some stuff is still missing in many games), that's why they all get day one patches. ps4 games get 1080p with a patch because developers saw the last weeks or months that ps4 can handle it but the version you get on disc without patch would probably suck with horrible framerate if it would already run in 1080p because they aren't optimized so much because there was no time for optimization with such a tight time plan.
