Mine works perfectly.  Had to replace the fan twice though.

Lucky, i had 5 60gb units break on me :(

Tho I will say the first one I got was faulty.  Would turn on and run for anywhere from 10 minutes to 4 hours perfectly fine, then only output green static.  Took it back to the store and they replaced it with the new one I still use today.
