This is the first time I've ever been to a forum where someone actually tried to defend a Codemasters game. The fanboyism must run deep through the threads...

No Joke. They had to get around the NES' lock out function. The NES.

Anyone who has played Dr. Jeckyl & Mr Hyde should know why that doesn't bode well.

Makes perfect sense, something that happened during the NES days is very relevant to this game. It doesn't matter if it's not the same developer, or system, or that there's nothing at all the same really. That's some keen insight you have going on.

It is when that trend hasn't been broken since the NES. They're crappy developers and crappy publishers. You may as well be talking up the new Anubis games or whoever the crap the company was that made Billy's Witchbroom Racing and Ninja Bread Man.

They didn't even get the Genre of the game right.

Lets see... been around since before the NES. Majority of developed and published games have sucked hard... so hard they had to get around lock out chips for a system Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde could get aproved for in some case... and have seemingly actually gotten worse since they haven't had a good game since the SNES.

I could name 9 or 10 games that Codemasters have put out since the PS1 was released that have gotten good reviews and were well received by gamers. That still doesn't change the fact that this game is being made by a new developer and we have no idea how it's going to turn out. I was just trying to argue that the developer should be given a chance and it's definitely not certain that the game is going to be bad. Also just because it's in a crowded genre doesn't mean it can't be a great game. Blizzard for example makes games in very crowded genres but it doesn't change the fact that their games are great ones.
