As much as the original Motorstorm benefitted from process of elimination through the launch window, I would actually say Apocalypse's plummet stems from the fact that it was released during the PSN outage.

 

I don't really care for the series, just an observation.

But if people actually cared about Apocalypse, the game could have potentially become a sleeper hit. Instead people ignored it even in the bargain bin.

I was thinking it might have been undertracked or lacked advertising as a result of the outage, it just seems a bit of an odd drop, albeit that did happen with Resistance 3 regardless of the outage.
