Looks like WiiU dropped a lot. Perhaps there will be a baseline of 15k'ish until 3D Mario and Taiko U release. After that i think 20k'ish would be an expected baseline for WiiU sales going forward with a decent holiday spike now and then. We'll see.

A little unnatural for the system to drop immediatly to the new base line. Expect anothet one next week

Seems Media Create is reporting 17.737 units sold at retail. So a drop from that is likely. But remember, its only 2 weeks until Taiko U and SM3DW ships there. So, a small drop next week, and a spike the following week after that. 

How popular is the taiko series in japan? Admittedly, I know nothing of the series

The prequel was very popular on the Wii. Question is: Is the Taiko audience content with playing Taiko on Wii, or are they hungry enough for the sequel to buy the WiiU? 

The Taiko audience are in the arcades
