Numerical scores should be done away with. If you must have an overall scoring arc, use a star system like Xplay. Keep it low, like "out of 4 stars" that way, there is a lot of room for interrupretation.
Nobody can quantify a game out of a scale of 100 with accuracy, considering its an opinion anyway. 8.64 out of 10? Are you kidding me, really?

This I agree with. There's a huge margin of error in game scores.
But you know, on a 4-star system, that 8.5 GoW review would still be 4 stars!
