| J_Allard said: You know exactly what is being worked on and tweaked to say they are "core fixes"? The patches people download have a limited time and then are gone. This forces people to update again, and ensures everyone is on an up to date firmware version. The problem for the guy is his console is banned from connected, so his update is dead and he cannot reconnect to get a fresh update. For all we know the core functionality is there and intact, there could be any number of things being worked on. And when its closer to launch they roll out a real update free of time constraints and the dude is unbanned, can connect and download, then unplug and play offline like any other console. Not hard, not a big deal. Unless someone wants to try and make it one I guess. |
Interesting take. MS knows exactly when they will complete a patch weeks beforehand that they can make the previous patch expire the minute the new patch goes live. And it's just a coincidence the person got his console early and was banned the day before the new one wentlive
