I just use reviews as part of the big picture. If I absolutely want a game, no bad reviews will stop me. But if I am interested in a game, but not sure if I really want to get it, then I'll look at several reviews to help my decision. And I look at what they say about the game, what they like and dislike about it, not the score it was given.
