The X1 does use resources from the X1. But I imagine its more from the CPU than GPU.

Wait I've been wondering this for a while now, does the new Kinect use one of the cores of the X1's main Cpu or does it have it's own cpu to handle it's operation within the unit itself?. I know when it came to the original Kinect while it's up and running it steals one of the Three cores that the 360 has to work with just to manage it's tracking, positioning and microphone array. Always meant the current Kinect games run at 2/3rds the graphic detail at most of other 360 games.
