Super mario 3D world is only around 8 hours long?

WTF? Doing the minimum of levels to get to the end, skipping collectables, warp zones, no exploring on the world map, doing only the easy levels. Flying over levels. There are tons of ways to rush a Mario game. Give me a break.

Link me to where the guy said he skipped levels and only did the easy levels and I will change the title but from what I read, he never said so and he was implying that he didn't do any of the extras. And skipping the extras is not rushing through the game.
