A. You're comparing Ryse with very different games. As I mentioned before, Ryse is going for a combat system more similar to Assassins Creed.

B. The combat in GoW has zero complexity. Button mash and QTEs.

And Ryse is QTE with more QTE's on top of even more QTE with what looks like overly simplistic gameplay so what's the problem? GoW at least offers a variety of combat methods whether your dodging or using magic.

Looking at gameplay videos of GoW it doesn't look like variety in any way. But let's wait for some reviews before we shit on a game we haven't played yet, shouldn't we?

Well we should all probably wait on reviews before we start praising a game then, correct?

People are praising it because of the graphics, not for its gameplay.
