you pay for the basic fitness subscription and buy only the extra content you really want. so, if you want tracy anderson stuff, you pay for that and not for insanity.
sure, they could let you buy it without the xbox live subscription but it is pretty logical that you don't have to pay for every content and only for the basic subscription + what you really want.
it's like when you go in a spa. you pay for the entry so that you can use the basic stuff like the pool but if you want to get a mud pack or something like that you have to pay extra. the alternative would be that everyone would have to pay for everything even if he only wants to go in the pool. .
