No they are not, from a game design perspective they arent at all. Kid Icarus Uprising's level style and set up is tailored for a handheld, it can translate well to a console with tweaking but its very much a HANDHELD experience.

If I wanted to play a Kid Icarus game on a console I'd like it to be like Starfox Adventures.

Whether a game is on a console or a handheld is irrelevant. Its about how its design is tailored and how its meant to be experienced. Handheld games in this manner feel vastly different from console games. Graphics arent the only difference.  IF a dev wants to port his game to a console just to make a little extra money ( indies do this alot) then yeah sure, but it doesnt really feel different.

If Atlus wanted to make a Etrian Oddysey game for the WiiU I'd be all for that , infact it'd be freaking awesome, but its interface and design would obviously be different from how they are on handhelds.
