But all those 3DS games are just console games that aren't available on a home console. Especially the likes of Luigi's Mansion 2 and Mario Kart 7. RE:R is now available on home consoles, as is Mirror of Fate. This is where this argument about whether a game is a handheld game or a home console game gets completely lost on me.
A game is a game.
I like the Vita for providing me with near current generation quality (technically) titles in the palm of my hand, meaning I can enjoy that on my commute to and from work etc. I like the 3DS for the games I can't play on another format, however given the option, normally I'd opt for another format if it was an option.
That said, Mirror of Fate, I tried on PS3 the other day, eugh... that nice low res screen really does hide a multitude of sins.
As for racing games, Ridge Racer was great on 3DS. Though 60fps without the 3D effect would have been preferable, more in keeping with the PSP games. I don't know what Namco were thinking with the Vita release.
