One can hope that they'll be able to make the Wii U profitable at least somewhere around Q2 2014, the software sales are a bit slow to cover the losses in a meaningful way.

It'll still reach 5 million by the end of the year, lifetime. I stand by that. The Mario and Skylanders bundles just came out. Black Friday is a few weeks away, and the "Oh Shit, I waited all this time to go Christmas shopping" rush after that. I think it's a safe bet that sales will pick up even more between now and then.
