In a douoply market, neither player can afford to fall too far behind and risk losing software support. thus, as a practical matter, MS nor Sont can let their consoles fail.

IF, and it's a big if, everything goes terrible for xbox, microsoft can slash and burn prices to 299. but they will never let it "fail".

>>Now another reason why I could see the Xbox One failing is the growing adoption rate of Full HD TV’s the Xbone barely offers 1080p . Even the Wii U does it better>>

no. if so, only because the wii u graphics are downgraded. hell in many cases the wii u cannot keep up with xbox 360, so forget about xbox one which is at least 5 times more powerful.

i mean the point here is any console can do 1080p 100% of the time if the graphics are downgraded enough. if some xbox one titles are 720p, it's because they are otherwise identical to the ps4 version. whereas the wii u cannot do graphics identical to ps4 at any resolution.

in fact i kind of think it's a good sign that so far xbone titles are identical to ps4 (same lighting, textures, mostly framerate, etc). most people wont notice 720p or 900p vs 1080p. and it shows devs dont really seem to be looking to increase effects on ps4.

in other words i'd be more worried if ps4 had better looking games at 720p, then ps4 and x1 have the same looking games one at 720 and one at 1080. average people wont notice the latter.
