Even if PS3 does eventually pass up Wii (which I find unlikely) it will do so only by virtue of Sony's continuing to keep the thing on the market after the generation was over, and at a price that's far below what they were originally trying to sell it for. Wii's early success - when at its most expensive, thus maximizing Nintendo's profits - ensures its victory. PS3 gets the silver medal, but not the gold. |
