Op seems either misinformed or is overly generalizing facts beyond reason.
First of all, microsoft platforms sell quickly then fade? The 360 came out in 2005, 8 years later it is still selling well, that isnt fading.
Other genres besides shooters sell very well on the xbox. The reason shooters sell so much more is more due to regional bias than anything. The xbox brand is most popular in america where shooters are dominant.
As far as first party titles, the start of the gen is when you start seeing new ips, it is a little early to be crying about how there is only halo, forza, and fable.
As far as the third party comment, what games from third parties are coming out on other platforms and not the x1. I cant even think of any. The x1 is getting pretty much the exact same support as the ps4.
And seriously? Comparing x1 1080p to wii u 1080p? The x1 is a more powerful system with way more games at a native 1080p then the wii u. The graphics of a wii u 1080p game compared to an x1 720p game would still look much worse.
There is probably more I could pick apart in that, but that is enough. Honestly, if you dont like the x1 or the games dont get one, not a big deal. However your research seems to be incredibly flawed...
