This gen, 2 of the consoles will be X86 based, so developers already have extensive knowledge of how to program for it. The differences over time won't be as dramatic, aside from the Wii U; Its IBM cpu and edram makes it different to program for, meaning games will look better over time and improve. The other consoles will remain relatively the same.


And that's just flat out wrong. This gen should have the largest difference between launch and end of gen.
