everyone saying "I didn't know 80M was bigger than 100M herpity derp" obviously didn't read the article.

When it comes to games and services, PS3 > Wii, so all that's left is the raw number of units sold. And since the PS3 is still selling over 100K a week (before the holidays, it hit 179K in the last update and it's just gonna go up) and the Wii is just breaking 25K during the holidays, the PS3 may catch up, if it has any kind of longevity like the PS2 had
