I still havent tried the battle institute with my current team, the last time I tried was with my ingame team and I got to hyper rank and 4.2k points even though I lost the last battle thanks to a irritating mandibuzz with substitute, swagger, punishment and roost

Had one of those too in this sweep, on battle 3. Fortunately it was the last of the three pokes, Heracross was already at +2 Attack thanks to Moxie, so Close Combat OHKO'ed it.

Last time I faced one of those, it mangled my team until it Swagger'ed my Salamence and gave me a +2 free boost to attack (Lum Berry FTW).
