Many devs are tied because of engine prices but now these rumors about unity giving different free options I hope we'll see more and more innovative games from them. Both companies offer great alternatives. Better than nothing.

Oh I'm not downplaying xbox, but I can see why my sig would make you think that ;)
I'm an indie developer that's registered with these companies. I totally agree that this move by microsoft is great, it's just natural to compare both policies since they are pretty similar.
