Do you think people really hate the wii u or is it just an easy target? Are people fascinated with the wii u itself or the situation that surrounds it?

No one uses that a reason to bash the Wii U. What reason would you give for people bashing the Vita so?

I have seen this outside vgchartz. It's small minority but they only seem big because they make a lot of noise. For the Vita I mostly see Nintendo fans hating on it because of all the "3DS is doomed, Vita will dominate". Overall, it's usually the extreme sides of the fanbases flinging mud at each other, and everyone in the middle getting caught inbetween.
