Like how they are doing it? Like giving us some random ports of old games like Spider Man (when the second one just got announced without Vita as a platform) or BL2? No that won't help. If they could get a steady stream of the biggest multiplat franchises with some Vita specific functions every year (sports, racing, Ass Creed, CoD, whatever comes out this generation) then I could see that definitely helping the Vita, being finally a good option to choose for gaming outside of your home. We know that this won't happen though.

Overall I think that it is a lose-lose situation and Vita is in a hole so deep that only a scenario that small44 came up with could really make things up for the Vita in the West. So maybe yeah localising the Japanese stuff is the better choice all things considered, cause it's better to keep your niche but dedicated audience happy than not having a dedicated audience at all. Having random gamers who might buy it for a couple of exclusives and sell the device afterwards. But localising Japanese games definitely won't make Vita a success in the West imo.

Well considering all PS4 games can be streamed to Vita what you described would only work for the next couple years and considering this would take time to actually accomplish there really is no point in even trying imo.  When the PS3 is gone there will be no more multiplatform games released on the Vita so the only games coming will be either made by Sony, Japanese games getting localized or western third parties, which I think will be very rare.  Sony should be making connections with these Japanese developers for localizations now because in the near future that is gonna be all Sony has besides their own games.

Yeah probably you're right. That's why I am saying for a couple of months now that Vita is FUBAR in the West. Remote Play might help shift a few consoles plus I think Sony will try to get a few exclusives for the Vita from western developers, when the PS4 establishes itself but it's already too late imo.

It's already labeled as having no games, being overpriced, with expensive memory cards. Smartphones will shortly have games that will be crappy to play but better looking and for ten bucks tops, which is what people care for.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!
