As Ethomaz said, you can always turn it off. But I think most people will like it.
I can see it being helpful to let you know when you are locked onto a target in an FPS. You could feel a heartbeat in a scary game. Little 'alerts' all sorts of new things.

It will be neat to see how it gets incorporated into games. When I first felt it I was like, "Wow! Why didn't I think of that!"
