Not denying one is 720 and one is 1080 no.

with my own eyes however, those numbers don't show.

I don't take dictation well so I won't accept oninons of anyone on the matter but I well respect everyone's right to have one.

But I'll be damned if I become a sheep and believe something because somebody says so, even if it's the majority. I've never been that way, never will.

Big problem is on videos its very difficult to see because most are not showing it uncompressed/as it should be. The big thing you will notice is AA, which will definately be a big issue on 3rd party games for XBox1 to begin with over PS4. Play it on a big TV and that's where the problems start to exist.

But the gap between 720/1080p and the consoles running at the same FPS... is definately a very big gap. If you don't care for that, then no worries, but other might be bothered that the gap is apparently so big and the faster machine is cheaper. That is quite shocking from a gamers point of view (I'm talking about the normal early adopters).

In fact if the rumours are true about COD and how PS4 ran at above that automatically before putting higher res stuff in, then it's no surprise they didnt even bother to optimise it, while they sound like they worked their butts off to get the Xbox to run at 60FPS on 720... perhaps thinking of it that way shows the issues MS will have in terms of 3rd party. It will get better, but so will the unoptimised PS4 versions.

I don't expect to see much difference in early 3rd party games except for resolution and slight FPS changes, because for example Assassins Creed, being made on 6 platforms at once. There is no real time to do major improvements to your game code to make it shine. It will be FPS/Higher Res. It will be 1st party games that will shine, unfortunately people will ignore those games because they are not on their platform.

As Cerny said, give it two years, once current gen is dead, and games are working on less platforms *and* optimisations are made to the machines, then bigger differences will become all too apparent i feel... especially as PC games will have also moved on and the PS4 will be using many of those features, while the XBoxOne may need to be paired back a bit.
