no it doesnt.  It is $20/$40 for the full game.  

That's just for more characters as DLC. The actual game is free.

One character is free.  Nothing else is free. $20 to unlock the full game. So i guess it would depend on what you consider the actual game. Id consider the initial download more of a demo.

Season 2 and Season 3 will be more of DLC than the original game's release.

But yes they will prob reveal initial downloads on the game which could manage well above 5m downloads for the first character.
