Yeah. I didn't really like Ni No Kuni, but I enjoyed this one. At the end of the game, I'd have all three bars full for each character for when I controlled them. All enemies had different strike weaknesses and all enemies had different elemental weaknesses, except for the human character types who had no weaknesses. I was actually a fan of Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast/PC and this actually played like a turn based version sorts. Unfortunately I WKC2 when the game hit $20 since I was skeptic about all the bad reviews, and then when I finished both stories and started playing online, I was online for a short while, took a break, but then afterwards they announced it was going to cancel the next year so I never did get back on. |
I got heavy into the online mode in WKC1. Put in a lot of hours. I originally wanted to attempt to Platinum them but they required far too much grinding even for my tastes. Loads of fun tho. I thought the story was pretty decent as well. Not oscar worthy, especially with some of the VOs, but not too predictable. How many games have the lead character become the final boss? I am always a sucker for anything with Power Ranger like transformations so I knew I would like it.
Can't believe you hate NiNoKuni but like WKC. They are very similar combat wise :/
