Can't you always uninstall a game and reinstall it later on even when the consoles are long past being supported?  But I agree with you and will not buy a PS4 or X1 until they upgrade the HDDs.  Also another question, doesn't opening the PS4 and replacing the HDD void your warrenty?

Yes you cna uninstall/reinstall, but these are supposedly some huge installs which would take 5+ hours. I doubt replacing the PS4/s HDD will void the warrenty (it didn't with the PS3).

I'm pretty sure it actually did with the PS3, I had to open my PS3 to clean the lense and to open it you have to remove this sticker and when you do that the printing VOID VOID VOID appears stuck on your PS3.

Not for the hard drive.  To get at the hardrive you just need to unscrew some things and pop it out.  That sticker you are talking about is if you actually want to open up the shell of the system.

How do I know?  I've done both.
