So I wonder why Sony would do this announce this, seems a little strange. I wonder if they have upped the processor from 1.6 to 1.7 or whatever the XboxOne is so they can match it. Otherwise why bother talk about it... suppose its another bit of PR but only if its good PR...

Did they officialy announce the 1.6 though? I thought that was just a rumour?

They didnt officially say it, it was on an early slide for a Killzone presentation... so it's possible they could have changed it... don't know why it's not come out yet, unless everyone assumes it is 1.6.
