Thats not convincing at all to anyone with half a brain. If you check Microsofts first party track record they kind of have to pay the best to make games for them. Their first party track record is the worst. Hell they even outsourced outside of Rare to make Killer Instinct. That has got to tell you where their head is at as far as first party is concerned. Microsoft after three generations still for some odd reason lacks brand identity when it comes to characters. What they had sometimes belonged to someone else or they bought a concept that represents another company. They have Halo, so they have somewhat of an image, but Fable isnt a stable IP in terms of knowing what it is or how it wants to function. The best two games for them to market are Halo and Forza. Forza embodies the essence of what MS is trying to convey it was well done because they got top notch in-house devs and made a worthy combatant in the racing genre for Gran Turismo.
